Today’s practice was great – I felt that my left knee is feeling much better. Although I still cannot figure out for the life of me, the weird variations in my practice – why was I able to do a split on my right side few months ago, and now I can’t? Whyyyyyy?

Some days I’d swear that an alter ego is using my body for some extreme forms of physical labour while I am sleeping. I’m not sure how else to explain the fact that I wake up extremely sore for no apparent reason. Today my abs felt like an elephant was dancing on them all night. All that after what? Yoga on Saturday? Total mystery.

I am sore today! Mainly my quads – I wonder if it’s the squats or the extended pigeon stretch against the wall that we held for a looong time in yesterday’s workshop.

April 16, 2010 – Friday

    • 35 min, interval incline walking on treadmill (switch between 2.0% incline, speed 4.5-5.0 and 15.0% incline, speed 4.0 – 4.2)
    • 5 min, 150 squats
  • 150 min, yoga backbending workshop

Because of all the standing around, observing and listening, I rarely consider yoga workshops as actual workouts. This one was great though, as we learned a number of cool adjustments. The guest teacher was scary flexible – I have never seen a human spine do things like that.

      25 sit-ups on treadmill
      15 supported chin-ups on treadmill
      1 min mountain climbers
      Repeat.

This workout kicked my butt Jillian-style! :)

    Wow Kate! You actually have off days?!?!?! hahaha never would’ve thought. In rebecca’s words, “you’re a beast!” (not in a bad way of course). :)

    Awesome site and the name couldn’t be more appropriate. Hope the vegan diet is going well thus far.

    Hey, Diana! I do have OFF days – they don’t come easy, but I have to tell myself that my body needs them to heal!
