Check out my hefty snack from last night, as we were watching Supernatural.
part 1 = peanut butter + Crofter’s
part 2 = peanut butter + banana
In the morning I felt like oatmeal. And like a smoothie. Solution? Have lighter versions of both.
Smoothie = rice milk + frozen strawberries. I would normally include peanut butter and/or tofu. I found rice milk to be more watery than soy milk in general. Think switching from 2% milk to skim, it just feels… watery. I really like the taste though – especially Vanilla!
Oatmeal = Scottish oats + sliced banana + maple syrup + pecans. Again, this would normally rock some sort of nut butter.
Vlad’s revamped tuna melt. In absence of tuna, it turned into a sardine melt!
Sardine melt = whole wheat bread + spinach + can of sardines + mayo + reduced fat mozarella. All baked in the oven for about 10 minutes.
I was teaching two yoga classes back to back today – reduced heat followed by hot yoga. I gotta say I kinda enjoy this whole “wearing flip flops to work, because I’m going to be barefoot anyway” thing.
A Perfect 10 bar from my car stash. Never tried these before. I nibbled down about half before the hot yoga.
Check out the amazing ingredient list! Much better than Cliff or Luna bars. So nice and short! Taste and texture wise, this was similar to Larabars, although at 210 calories, this one is a little lighter. Lemon flavour would not be my first choice though. It just tastes a little strange.
I also munched on a banana between yoga classes (peanut butter and almonds just felt too heavy).
Whew… lots of heat in my day today. I was chugging water on my way home like there is no tomorrow.
For dinner – my last package of Shanghai noodles. This did not come with any flavoured baggies, and I actually liked that. You have to add your own ingredients for taste. The actual noodles of course do not taste like much – they are meant to be pretty bland.
Two minute creation = remainder of fried tofu + olives + bean sprouts + lentils + soy sauce. Just heat through, and pour over noodles.
Full presentation. I inhaled the whole plate in under two minutes. Sooooo hungry! Or hangry, as some may say…
Workout for the day was Socasize with Ayanna. I’ve never tried it before, but heard about it, so when a free one was offered at my local Lululemon, I decided to check it out. I ran to the mall, did the class and ran back. Came dripping!!!!
The actual class was a lot of fun, and really challenging too. We poke fun at yoga and dance aerobics sometimes at SOF, but I know the truth!
Just because it looks fun, doesn’t make it easy. My arms were burning!
Despite some trouble with the music, we managed to get an amazing workout. The moves came from various styles of dance, including Soca, zouk, merengue and others I could not pronounce.
I see more Socasize in my future…
Off for a late night snack + Supernatural…
