This morning started early for a weekend, because Vlad had a dentist appointment. We headed out together, as the plan was to go to friends’ cottage right after!
Breakfast had to fill me up until well after noon:
I love Kashi crunchy cereals. I haven’t met one that I didn’t like.
Cereal beefed up with rice milk and banana. And a coffee!
Toast with crunchy peanut butter and jam.
After the appointment, we drove to the cottage – it took us only about an hour, and not counting the pouring rain we caught at some point, it was a beautiful drive – scenic route, for sure.
The little cozy cottage…
… right on the lake.
Anyone know what these are? These are tomatoes!!! Well, young tomato plants to be exact.
First things first:
I was very excited about the yellow portion of this BBQ:
I brought few pitas from home – hummus + Boston lettuce + orange bell pepper + salsa!
Busy day!
We smiled…
… blew bubbles…
… laughed… (this picture looks familiar… remember this?)
… played soccer… some of us without shoes.
… ate some more…
… read… upside down…
… made new friends…
this is Winston, the neighbour’s St.Bernard/Bernese mix. I saw him over the fence, and immediately headed over to introduce myself. As a result, fifteen of us found ourselves running around the grounds with a stick, and laughing hysterically…
On our way home, we stopped at McDonald’s to get some water. At the cash register I glanced at the menu and noted that bottled water is probably the only thing worth getting here… On our way in, we ran into a woman and her son, holding three large bags of food and a tray with at least six carbonated drinks in it. That was dinner… for the whole family…
I took a picture with Shrek though.
