Another early morning, despite the weekend! After all the fun yesterday, I passed out on the couch around 9.30pm, and slept through the night (having been transferred to bed few hours later).
As a result – up before 7am.
Fantastically filling breakfast:
- whole grain bagel with peanut butter and Crofter’s jam
- blueberry soy yogurt with frozen blueberries, and raisin granola (I got this in bulk from Ambrosia, and it was just ok… missed my Nature’s Path granola)
After sleeping in, we’d often only be having breakfast around 12pm. One thing about getting up so early is that you are hungry again by that time.
I was heading out to a Learn to Float workshop with David Robson at the Ashtanga Yoga Centre of Toronto, and if there was any hope of me floating, the fuel had to be relatively light:
- plain instant oatmeal
- peanut butter
- Crofter’s jam
- baby carrots
The workshop lasted for 2.5 hours, and boy, was it tiring…
I still can’t exactly fly the way David does. Maybe in ten years?
Unfortunately, it looks like I have yet another mini-injury. My left foot really hurt this morning – I even noticed myself limping, and now it looks like it’s swollen. I’m hoping it’s just a bruise. Again, I do not remember hitting it yesterday or anything – one of those mysterious injuries.
After the workshop, we were off to my parents’ house for dinner. I was absolutely starving! As we arrived, a vegan feast awaited.
Ooops. Wait, a wrong picture.
Here we go – a colourful rainbow of vegetables ready to go on the grill!
Joe: Can one of you men come over here and comment on the meat while I’m cooking it?
Peter: Yeah, I got it. Oh, yeah. Oh, those are looking good. That’s what I’m talking about. Yeah… Don’t flip’em too often now, you don’t want to lose the juices. Yeah… Yeah. Coming along nicely. Those are cooking just fine. Scoop that one up and put it back in exactly the same spot.

The long awaited vegan feast!
Amazing salad, compliments of dad – shredded cabbage, green apple, cilantro, and celery with lemon juice. Must make!
Mixed vegetables – compliments of mom. This was divine: peas, corn, bean sprouts, pepper with a bit of soy sauce.
My sophisticated beverage. It became even more so after I sliced a strawberry in there and added some ice.
Dessert – European style…
